Cockatoos are wonderful and amazing birds, but all cockatoos are very social and require a lot of care and attention. Please carefully consider before purchasing a cockatoo. They are sensitive, loud, and the males can be agressive. I know 2 Moluccan Cockatoos very well. They are so loud that it can damage your hearing at close range. A screaming cockatoo can be heard a mile away.
Also, please consider adopting a bird from a local bird rescue or shelter. Hope this info helps.
