I need a good apple dumpling recipe and a peach dumpling recipe. I have a cookbook called Country Fair Food and Crafts and in it is a picture for a candy called coconut ice. The problem is, there isn’t a recipe for it in there!! It is a two layer candy cut in diamond shapes white layer on the bottom and pink layer on top. Thanks

I have a young female grey (fully tested, vet cleared healthy & DNA sexed); now I’m looking for her male counterpart to introduce together & see if they get along well enough to eventually become a bonded, proven pair & breed/hand-raise babies.

What’s the best & safest way to introduce 2 young birds for the first time & subsequent future times to see if they will like each other safely so they learn to “play nice” & eventually form a bonded breeding pair? My girl is just under 1 yr. old; the boy I’m considering is just 1 yr. old, too.

I know it takes a few yrs. before they will sexually mature & breed, that’s why I want to introduce them early. I am fully aware of “breed” vs. “pet” pairs, the hormone & behavior changes once they become a bonded breeding pair; I’m willing to take that on. Thanks!

I have raised pigeons from eggs but never parrots so hopefuly it shall be the same thing and I know the foods to feed a baby paret.

No, I’m not planning on hand rearing right now, if at all (and not necessarily any of the species I am talking about). Although I would like to hand raise parrots at some point of my life.

Yes, I would always do thorough research and under the guide of an experienced person before doing anything like this.

I’ve owned birds in the past, my mother and I raised budgies and cockatiels, and I worked in a pet store with Macaws for about a year. I’ve read every book I can find on parrots for the past two years and have it narrowed to a few, but I’m curious to see what parrot savvy people would recommend for me.

Cost isn’t a big deal. I can afford the monthly costs of any parrot and if I have to save longer for the bird and cage, then so be it. I don’t much care if it talks and size isn’t really an issue either. I also don’t care if its the most beautiful bird or not, it’d be a nice bonus, but its not what I’ll base my decision on. I just want a bird with a good personality; one that’s friendly, fun, and doesn’t mind cuddling sometimes. I don’t mind spending several hours a day with it, in fact, I look forward to it.

So, given all this, what would you recommend and why? Thanks
